Meetings Of Evil!

Date changed to Saturday 20th of November.

Just joking there, I am not planning any meetings... (Evil is better when tyrannic) And I do not believe in any form of the word 'Meeting' for this topic. It's not my evil deeds that I wish to write about, but guess who does do evil deeds? The Media.

Your average teenager watches shows like X Factor,Movies like Twilight (1) and Listens to songs like Cheryl Cole (Or Drums and Bass... More about that genre later.) and feels the same way about it. We ALL hate that girl that can't sing on the X-Factor, she was included for that very reason. We watch it, waiting for her to leave and for 'The Universe to Right itself' (I don't think stuff should right themselves, only left themselves) and in the meantime, the popularity of the show rises and rises. Why? They're forcing emotions on you and you just let them. They are making money this way.

Music, if you want the full rant, ask me in real life. You'll get a lot of pauses but it'll be there. Justin Beiber? Cheryl Cole? Fads. The record label pays the radio stations exceedingly high amounts of money to only play their music and then launch a gimmick. I would not put it past them that:

Cheryl just wanted to be famous for her own actions, she was hot but not talented at all. Cheryl talked to people and they set her up with a footballer.* The people she hires write her music, another girl (A talented one... Ish, I hate her singing but for the purpose of this rant I will call her talented) then sings the lyrics and lets Cheryl take the credit. They set up a break-up, the media focuses on Cheryl's emotions (Fake, helped with a little money to the newspapers) people start to see her as a poor little girl and want to help her or something, they then buy her products blissfully unaware that Cheryl is currently laughing about the whole ordeal.

(I would like to note that the above may or may not be true. I have, however, taken a business course at school and know a little about the lengths people will go to advertise in the recession.)

Drum and bass? As a genre? Really? That's like going to African Oasis and sitting in the sun all week. You get the basic side of things but you don't quite get the whole thing. The advanced side (In the case of both) is a lot more impressive and beautiful. Try listening to Guns and Roses' November Rain by only listening to the orchestra, no Piano, Drums, Bass or Saul. It's no good while in reality the overlaying song is beautiful and emotionally stirring. It almost makes me cry.

Now for the last thing I have written and intend to rant about: Twilight. Anyone can write a vampiric romance tale if they have free time. In fact, I have. If you're making up how a character can move, talk or fly then you can make the perfect person. You want to know what I really hate about Twilight? Tough, I'm telling you anyway:
1. The creation of a perfect man. There is no such thing as a perfect person and if people are compared to a perfect person then they'll never be good enough, on the guy, this means that the girl is a lot more likely to break up with you and the girl is less likely to find love. Pobody's Nerfect. (Spoonerism)
2. The Blurb. The first 200 pages only capture the reader by hiding the identity of Edwards character. The first words on the back? "First, Gay Sparkling dude was a creep... Oh wait vampire!" I think comic book guy would say something like this: "Worst! Blurb! Ever!" The best blurb? "Hey, we wont tell you anything about this book. If you want to know what happens the read it." Legendary.
3. Vampires. They sparkle, they don't eat people and the only thing that actually makes them even remotely cool is sucked from them (Irony that I am referring to blood).
If you want to see a cool version of Twilight, please watch Tweenlight, an episode of the Simpsons starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Other stuff:
See Josh Marks' blog for awesomosity.
Buy me a guitar!
Listen to some Disturbed... Surprisingly awesome to listen to.
AC (Lightning bolt) DC is awesome.
Halo Reach is fun to play but it is best to take a break. This applies to CoD as well.
Halo Firefight vs Gears for War Horde debate is up for the running, in fact a debate about the two is now offically open. I will write another rant about them later.
And Finally, some album ideas:
MCR: Three cheers and Black Parade.
BFMV: Scream Aim Fire.
AC/DC: Best of Album.
Slipknot: All Hope is Gone.
Bon Jovi: Slippery When Wet.
Disturbed: Ten Thousand Fists.
Dragonforce: Anything really, I recommend any album but Inhuman Rampage. Ultra beatdown?
Guns and Roses: I like Use your Illusion II but there may be betters.

Anyone notice why I ordered the above like so?
